Therapeutic Philosophy

"One size does NOT fit all." As a result of this philosophy, Glasshouse Effect Psychotherapy Center utilizes many different therapeutic interventions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Reality Therapy.


What To Expect In Therapy

Going to therapy can appear to be nerve wrecking and uncomfortable. Many people are unsure of what to expect in therapy. Furthermore, people often feel guilty about having to reach out to a professional to "talk." I get it, but please know that you are not abnormal or weak for seeking therapy. In fact, you are strong and resilient because of your decision to realize "I need help!" As a psychotherapist, I expect my clients to be themselves. "Come as you are, not what I expect you to be."  I do desire my clients to be transparent; however, I understand that trust must first be earned. The pace of therapy solely depends on the client. As your psychotherapist, I am here to guide and assist, but the work is up to you.
